Great way to get new traffic from different countries by geo targeting in google webmaster tools.
I have started targeting Switzerland for the term “swiss seo” (2 million results)
Mattseo.com is hosted in the USA but is top of page 1 in google.ch
Steps 1 . Add your new address for example “mattseo.com/seo-switzerland” to Google webmaster tools and geo target Switzerland this tell google your main traffic for this address should be from Switzerland .
Step 2. Add your link to Digg.com
Step 3. Grab your digg url
Step 4. Take your digg url and submit it to propeller.com
Step 5. Ping your new propeller.com url that links direct to digg (try and find the rss link if possible)
Step 6. Add your geo url to propeller.com
Step 7 . Grab the propeller.com new url
Step 8. Digg your propeller.com url
Step 9. Ping the new propeller.com that links to digg.
Step 10. This is index your link fast and give it some killer juice.
your secrets are fantastic and good, as you have mentioned here is right if we will follow the social book marking so it get more traffic compare to normal off-page seo work.
What if you’re not using a subfolder as you are in the example.
For instance:
http;//www.internationalsite.com
http;//www.internationalsite-en.com
Would you add http;//www.internationalsite-en.com to Webmaster Tools and set the preferred domain as USA?

Maybe you could help me with this – How would you test out SERP results in areas out side of where you are doing SEO testing from. For instance, I am unable to get accurate local or organic results for my wife’s massage business located in West Hartford, CT 06117, when I am testing from our home office in West Hartford, CT 06119. Is there any way to view accurate results for areas outside of your own? How do professional SEO companies test outside of their area with geo-targeting playing such a major role in seo these days?

Hi Brian, as your looking for a result in the same country as yourself you will get accurate results from West Hartford, CT 06117 to West Hartford, CT 06119. Now International SEO GEO results you would have to use for example, If I’m targeting Switzerland and wanted to check me results I would enter http://www.google.ch/search?hl=de&gl=ch&q=swiss+seo
Nice to see your using Google Local Maps also.. Add the below tags to your meta this should increase your google local result..
Your site does need a few tweaks and very important a backlink campaign for the keywords “West Hartford” “Swedish Massage West Hartford” “Deep Tissue Massage West Hartford” etc
I can get you front page for these in a few months..
