The people who have the ability to upload videos like that can also set the date to the original airing of that episode or clip. For example, if you went to http://www.youtube.com/shows and found a clip or episode of a TV show that originally aired on October 17, 1956 (yes 1956), it would say 17 Oct 1956. That video is one of those special videos in the “TV” section (see where it says “TV”).
